Curd for hair: Benefits and How To Use It For Healthy Hair

Curd is a good source of calcium, protein, and vitamins. Also, curd has a high content of fatty acids which make it excellent for healthy hair and prevent hair loss. And curd for hair is one of the old times remedies, and your grandma will be told you the benefits of these for sure. Curd is also good for digestion. And all of the various health benefits curds are also used in beauty regimes to benefit your skin. 

So here are some ways you can use curd to get natural, healthy, and shiny hairs at home. 

Curd for dandruff:

Curd is rich in protein and has antibacterial property which makes it an effective remedy for dandruff. And lemon is acidic and helps to reduce dandruff. Therefore, this mixture works wonders for reducing dandruff.  To prepare this mixture take one cup of curd and 2 tbsp of lemon juice. Take a bowl and mix the ingredients well. Apply the mask to your hair. Once it is done, cover your hair with a shower cap and leave it on for about 40 minutes. Wash your hair with a mild shampoo. 

Curd for hair growth:

Curry leaves are a good source of protein and contain other nutrients which help to reduce hair fall and promote hair growth. The amino acids and antioxidants in curry leaves will strengthen the hair follicles and moisturize the scalp. Hence, this mask will give strength to your hair make it thicker, and help in hair growth. For this mask, you need one cup of curd and a handful of fresh curry leaves. Wash and then grind the curry leaves to get a smooth paste. In a bowl, mix the curry leaves paste with 1 cup of yogurt. Apply the mixture to your hair starting from the roots and working your way down to the tips. Leave the mixture for 30 minutes and then wash it out with shampoo.

Curd for deep conditioning:

Honey is good for skin but did you know that curd with honey works well for conditioning and helps in making your tresses soft, shiny, and manageable. This will also reduce the dryness of your hair and scalp. For this mask, you need one cup of curd and 2 tsp of honey. Mix both ingredients in a bowl, and massage into the scalp and hair. Leave the mask for 20 minutes and then shampoo.

Curd for strong hair

Curd is rich in vitamin B and zinc which promote hair strength and growth. Additionally, egg yolk contains peptides that stimulate hair growth. Therefore the combination of curd and eggs ensures that your hairs grow fast and healthy. To prepare this mask you need 1 egg and 2 tbsp curd. Whisk an egg with 2 tablespoons of yogurt to form a paste. Apply this mask from the roots to the tips. Let it sit for 20-30 minutes. Rinse with shampoo.
