DIY Pedicure At Home: A Step By Step Easy Guide For You

As we all know the importance of skincare. Pampering the skin of your feet is as important as you take care of your face. Ask anyone and they will tell you I hate feet. Because dusty feet are an easy target for shaming. On the other hand, being well-groomed is what makes you look amazing and gives confidence. 

Our feet tend to get rough with constant walking, weather conditions, and improper skin care. No matter how much you cover up your feet, it will do you no good unless and until you give it a good cleaning. We know the question is that we are all busy with our lifestyles and don't get enough time to go to the salon and get a pedicure. Step 1. 

The first step to get a pedicure done is to trim and shape your nails. Remove your old nail polish with the help of nail polish remover and trim the nails. Don't cut the corners too much,  as this can lead to ingrown nails. Shape the nails with the help of a nail file. 

Step 2.

The next step is a foot soak. Give your feet a nice foot bath. Fill up warm water in a tub and add essential oil, fragrant, soap, and rock salt in it. Soak your feet in the tub and let the feet be in the warm water for about 15 to 20 minutes. After that, dry your feet with a towel. 

Step 3.

The next step is exfoliating. Rub some cuticle cream on the base of each toenail. Leave it for few minutes and in the meantime use a foot file or a pumice stone to gently rub away the hard skin or to smoothen cracked heels. Be gentle do not scrap too hard. After that wipe off the cuticle cream and push back the cuticles gently with a cuticle pusher.

Step 4.

After you are done scrubbing and removing dead skin, the next step is to moisture the feet to soften them. Moisturizing helps soften, hydrate the skin and protects it from cracking. Rub a generous portion on your feet and massage well. To do this step you can use almond oil or coconut oil or any hydrating creams that contain natural kinds of butter like almond, cocoa, shea. Regular foot massage also beneficial in many ways it will help keep nerve endings stimulated, improve blood circulation and nourish the skin and foot muscles. 

Step 5.

Now your nails are ready to apply pretty nail paint. Though it is an optional step, you can just skin it or if you want to make your toenails look flawless, then take a step ahead. First, apply a generous transparent base coat on your toenails and let it dry to give a nice texture. Apply white nail paint on the base coat. Re-apply the second coat of white nail paint to make the nail paint look smooth. Let the nail polish dry for a couple of minutes. Now, end the procedure by applying the base coat again.


Feet are so important for us and take care of them is so important. Don't take your feet for granted. It is needed to give your feet a good pedicure time by time.
