So whenever you are feeling overwhelmed with your emotions, step away and take a deep breath this will help you to calm down faster and under control your emotions. 5. Be logical

When we caught up with feelings about things, we continue to carry them and force ourselves to act over them irrationally. Our logical mind knows what we are supposed to do or say something or not but our emotions take control over us and make us override that knowledge. Not all emotions should be ignored but sometimes blindly following them can lead to problems. So be logical and honest about how you feel.

6. Be clear about what you want your relationship to be

Having a clear vision about your relationship and what you want from your relationship can help you to better control your emotions.
