Simple Ways To Add More Fun To Your Boring Yoga Routine

Nowadays life gets so much busy and we don't have to get bored. But it's 4 pm you are on your mat, doing your fourth sun salutation and thinking about what you eat for dinner. Since yoga is the only pause in our daily lives but sometimes it gets hard and we get bored. Has your yoga practice become bored? Do you find yourself thinking about dinner, or that last night movie or tv show, or just about anything else?  Are you demotivated, frustrated, or just getting bored during your yoga practice? If your answer is yes then it is likely that you are stuck in a yoga rut. 

But that's not the problem there are some ways you can add some fun to your yoga routine so it can't be bored anymore. 


1. Pause and take a short break. 

If you feeling a lack of energy or physically exhausted or feeling drained. Then it may be possible that you are going through a stressful time in other areas of your life. You are too hard on yourself during your yoga practice without getting an occasional break. Remember that sometimes your body also needs rest and some time to rejuvenate and thrive. So allow yourself to take a short break from your yoga practice and instead of that you can add some self-care routine like massage. And when you know that you want to restart your yoga practice just take your mat and restart it. 

2. Just take a deep breath. 

Deep breathing is always good to get out of your stressful mind. It is a better way to get to the present. Just take a deep breath and your mind won't go into yesterday or tomorrow. Just take a deep breath and that longing from that last weekend fun and planning about what to do after a yoga class is not even come to your mind. So you can hold on to your tree pose. 

3. Add some variations. 

You are doing that same type of yoga every day. Just do some modifications and variations to your daily yoga poses and that boredom is no more.

4. Attend yoga retreat. 

If you do not attend a yoga retreat or experience it then gives it a try now. There are many yoga retreats around the world. Just choose the place where you want to go. A yoga retreat is a great time to rewind your tired mind and spend some time with your body and mind. Usually, yoga retreats include meditation, yoga poses, and healthy meals. Just check out online or you can also check with your studio if they are planning a yoga retreat shortly. Just pick a place you want to go out for. 

5. Play some music. 

I know many of you do your yoga practice without music. Heating a playlist can seriously add to your yoga practice. You can prefer relaxing music or without any words or it can be upbeat, fun, and have you dancing in downward dog. It is totally up to you to choose which type of music you want to play. Just play it in the background and this can help to beat that boring yoga session. Just create a playlist of your favorite songs and play it.
